Join the IAHR Delft Young Professionals network!
The congress will offer a number of benefits to Young Professionals, including reduced registration fee; special accommodation arrangements and focused scientific and social events such as the John F. Kennedy Student Paper Competition with awards. A special effort is made to enable young professionals from developing countries to attend. Sign up here!.
Conference activities
- YPN Corner
A corner will be allocated throughout the congress duration to students and young professionals where activities of different IAHR YPNs will be displayed. The corner will also serve as a space to discuss issues related to initiation of new YPNs, to mingle and socialize with fellow students and YPs to share ideas, and to relax. Different activities are also planned during lunch breaks. The activities include workshops (effective networking, publishing in scientific journal) and speed networking (meet international companies delegates).
- YPN Forum
Join us on Thursday, July 2nd on the panel discussion between representatives of IAHR YPNs and the IAHR Council members to discuss on subjects such as: the role of young researchers in the IAHR; special activities for young segment of IAHR; benefit to be IAHR member and many others. All members of YPNs are invited to join the discussion!
- YPN Tour and Dinner
Please also join us on Wednesday, July 1st on the technical tour to Maeslantkering, Sand Engine and Port of Rotterdam (detailed program will be announced soon). The tour will be followed by a social gathering and dinner in a boat (until approx 10pm). This programme is exclusively for students and YPs and provides opportunities to know sponsor companies. Accommodation
We have an offer for a nice and affordable accommodation in Kijkduinpark for our YPN community. The place is located at a distance of 8km from the Congress venue and it can easily be reached by public transport. The accommodation is a bungalow-type house and can accommodate up to 4 people. Click here for more information. The price is approx. 35 Euros per person per night. The booking dates are from June 26th to July 3rd, 2015.
It would be desirable if you can organize in groups of 4 people to share the two-bedroom facility. The bungalow is fully equipped; it contains a lounge with TV, kitchen and microwave.
