The distribution and movement of soluble reactive phosphorus (SRP) between overlying water and bed-sediment in river systems is strongly influenced by hydrodynamic conditions. This research reports on an investigation into the effects of velocity on phosphorus distribution between overlying water and bed-sediment. The experiments were conducted in an annular flume for 4 days. The sediment was placed in the bottom of the channel, the range of water velocity was controlled below the sediment incipient velocity (i.e.,
