Jan Hendrik Dronkers is Director-General of Rijkswaterstaat since 2010. He has been working with the Ministry of Infrastructure and the Environment for more than 30 years, in many different departments. Amongst his positions he has been General Director of a regional division of Rijkswaterstaat and director of large infrastructure projects. In his previous position Jan Hendrik was the Ministry's Deputy Director-General for Passenger Transport. In this position he was responsible for the Mobility Pricing Program (a politically sensitive project) and (long term) Infrastructure Planning. Jan Hendrik Dronkers graduated in Civil Engineering, Technological Economics and Management, and in Dutch Law.
