Anneke Hibma is Manager Engineering at Van Oord. After graduating Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Delft, The Netherlands, she completed her PhD in morphodynamic modelling of estuarine channel-shoal systems. In 2004 she joined marine contractor Van Oord, where she specialised in engineering of coastal and marine structures. Anneke acted for a few years as Programme Manager for Building with Nature, a research and innovation programme of the consortium EcoShape. In 2012 she moved to Australia and worked as Engineering and Environmental Manager for the Ichthys LNG project – Darwin Harbour Dredging Works. Upon completion after 2 years, Anneke returned to The Netherlands in the role of Manager of the Engineering Department of Van Oord.
